Porta Potty Rental FAQ: Mountain View

Answers to common questions about renting portable toilets in Mountain View. Not covered here? Call ☎ us.

Does my Mountain View event need a permit for porta potties?

Private parties on your own property generally don't. City special event permits are only for nonprofit and civic groups and are due 90 days ahead. Events under a Temporary Use Permit must list the temporary restrooms, including accessible units. Check with the city for your situation.

How many accessible units should I include?

If your event is under a Temporary Use Permit, the city asks you to list accessible units and expects them to meet CBC Chapter 11B. A common starting point is at least one accessible unit per event, more for larger crowds. Call and we'll talk through your layout.

I'm planning an event at Shoreline. What do you need from me?

Shoreline's application asks for the number of portable toilets. If restrooms are needed, the city wants the rental company's insurance certificate. Tell us your expected attendance and the approved location.

Can you serve North Bayshore and East Whisman job sites?

Yes. Send the gate hours and the logistics plan or placement details, and we'll size units to the crew count and set a service schedule.

How many units do I need for 100 guests at home?

As a rule of thumb, about one unit per 50 guests for a four-hour event, so two to three units for 100 guests, plus a handwashing station if food is served. Call and we'll size it with you.

Do you deliver to Los Altos and Palo Alto as well?

Yes. We also serve Los Altos, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, and the area around Moffett Field.

How much does a porta potty rental cost?

It depends on the unit type, how many you need, how long you need them, and how often they're serviced. Call or send the quote form and we'll give you a price for your situation.

How far ahead should I book?

As early as you can, especially for weekend events in spring and summer. For job sites, a few days' notice is usually enough. Call to check your dates.

What does the placement spot need?

Flat, firm ground that the service truck can reach, ideally within a short walk of where people will be. Tell us about gates, slopes, and overhead branches.

Do you service units during the rental?

Yes. Longer rentals get scheduled service visits, and we'll set the frequency based on how many people use the units.
